Five on Friday (#2)

I'm linking up with some other blogs to share
Five on Friday with the Ferrell boys and me!

[ 1 ]    CHURCH FELLOWSHIP:

This actually happened last Friday, but I had already posted my Five on Friday post . . . so I'm including it in this week's round-up.  Our church has started a monthly fellowship time.  No Bible lesson, no Bible teaching, and no worship.  Just fellowship.  With fellow church members.  And with each other.  Dave and I really dressed up for this . . . NOT!  Ha!

Our "theme" for this Fellowship time was a Grill Out.  One of our church members brought his big ole grill while everyone else brought their chosen meat item in a zip-lock baggie, already seasoned and marinated, ready to grill.

There was a method to keeping everyone's food straight.  But this crew did a great job!

The church provided the baked potatoes, salad, and bread.  People brought desserts.  It was so much fun!  Everyone hung out and visited.  The children played outside or in the church gym.  Some of the adults brought board games and playing cards.  We had a great time.  I can't wait for next month's fellowship.

[ 2 ]    PARTY PAPARAZZI:

I participated in a Facebook party for Paparazzi jewelry.
Paparazzi

Every item they sell costs $5!  Which is great if you don't buy several items!  If you do, then it's not too great!  Ha!

[ 3 ]    PUMPKIN PATCH:

My boys' school had their annual Pumpkin Patch day.  The elementary and middle school children went to the Lazy U Farm for an all day field trip.  I helped organize the trip so I went along with them for the day.

My boys had an awesome time.  They didn't want to leave.

There was a corn maze, a hay ride, a corn kernel bin, horse rides . . . . .

Even Shane loved the horses . . .

There is a huge play area that all the boys loved.  There was a tether ball that Zach would have played with all day.

And some duck races using old fashioned water pumps for power.

Every child left the pumpkin patch with a pumpkin and coloring book and memories that will last a lifetime . . . I hope.

[ 4 ]    PINK OUT:

Today, the public middle school and my boys' school had a "Pink Out" day for breast cancer awareness.  My boys, being 100% boy, didn't have anything Pink to wear so I dyed some white T-shirts pink last night.

The shirts turned out really Pink!  And the boys looked really cute dressed all in Pink for the school Pink Out day!

Shane wasn't too happy about wearing the Pink shirt OR getting his picture taken this morning!  Ha!

[ 5 ]    CANVAS PAINT PARTY

My friend Laycee invited me to go with her to a canvas paint party at one of the local churches.  All the proceeds go to cancer research for lymphoma and leukemia and other blood cancers.  We painted a Fall pumpkin.  I had a great time!  Here's mine and Laycee's painting:

So there's my Five on Friday!  Hope you've enjoyed this quick look into the past week with . . .

  1. Looks like you guys had a great time at the pumpkin patch!

Those are some very pink pink shirts! My first thought was "Huh, I would have just went and bought some cheap shirts at Wal-Mart" but then I realized that there wouldn't be pink boys shirts. Duh.
