It's a lot of fun for the boys because it's like having another Christmas altogether! They get presents from all of Dave's family. We always come home with a large haul of gifts for the boys.
This Christmas was very special because Dave's brother, Dannie, was home during the Christmas holidays. It's been a very long time since he was actually here on Christmas. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia, and works in Washington D.C.
Dannie gave the children only gifts made in the United States. He said it was very hard to find anything at all. He gave all 3 boys a soccer ball and a football . . . each! Three soccer balls and three footballs came home with me! I told him it was just what we needed! LOL!
Uncle Joe and Aunt Marlana gave Shane a triceratops dinosaur which you can see in the picture above. Aunt Penny and Grandma gave Shane that cute little chair he's sitting in for his room.
The boys loved the balls. They've been throwing them in the house and getting into all kinds of trouble with them. :) As if the balls weren't enough trouble for me . . .
Uncle Joe and Aunt Marlana gave Zach and Alex each a double barrel nerf shotgun.
Joe and the boys played outside most of the afternoon with those guns . . . shooting at each other! Joe is like a big kid himself. :) There were lots of other gifts and toys for us, but I didn't get any pictures of them.
Penny and Grandma got Zach a real NFL football and football gloves. Zach was so psyched about that. He loves football. They also got Alex a cool chair for his room . . . Alex is sitting in it in the picture above.
Joe is Dave's youngest brother. Here he is with his son, Chandler:
And here is Joe's wife, Marlana, with Dave's sister, Penny:

We had such a good time in Pontotoc visiting with Dave's family. I didn't get many pictures for some reason. I think I was talking and visiting too much! We wish Pontotoc were a little closer so we could visit more often!
This post wraps up Christmas for the Ferrell boys and me. We had a great Christmas holiday! It was so wonderful to spend time with all our families and share in the joy of this season . . . always remembering the reason for Christmas . . . the Christ child.
Hoping your Christmas holidays were as merry and bright as . . .
mine and the Ferrell boys!
