January 23 -- Menu Planning Monday
After two weeks of menu planning, I've discovered something. I need flexibility on the weekends. So this week, I'm only planning our weekday meals. Afterall, I have no idea what we'll be doing this weekend . . . so far in my meal planning, I haven't followed the weekend menus anyway.
So here goes for this week:
Monday:
Chicken Fajitas (Aztec flour tortillas & fajita seasoning mix on sale @ Tems)
Rice
Tuesday:
Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings
Cornbread
(Grands biscuits on sale @ Tems)

Wednesday:
Crockpot Chili
with all the Fixings ( corn chips, sour cream, cheese, diced onions)
Thursday:
Grilled Chicken Tenders in Garlic, Herb & Wine marinade
Noodles Alfredo (I like the wide noodles instead of fettucini)
Green Beans
Garlic Bread
Friday:
Pizza
Salad
I went to Weight Watchers this morning, and I had lost another pound! Yea!
I've had some of my friends question me as to how I'm doing Weight Watchers and cooking all this food I'm planning every week.
First of all . . . I don't eat everything I cook. For instance, I've cooked macaroni & cheese during the past 2 weeks, and I haven't eaten any of it. I'm eating what I cook, but I'm weighing the meats and measuring the food carefully. I've been tracking my points and staying within my daily points target trying hard not to go over into the weekly points allowance. It's not always easy, but Dave has been very encouraging to me.

Tina - so proud of you and the choices you are making for you sweet little family.. Sorry I didn't get to speak to you personally this morning. The room was kind of full. I lost .2 of a pound - that was at weigh-in but I feel that it really was more. I hope you have a wonderful week on the "plan".... Pat M Hill
ReplyDeleteI have started planning my meals by week especially when john is home... it made it so much easier knowing what i had to buy and what I had to cook when I got home... we too had chicken fajitas last night... PLUS I am using WW recipes that my boys will also like...I only lost 1.2 pounds this past week but lost 5 last week so I am back hard at it this week.. hope i do better... anyway love reading all about the boys... i miss them....
ReplyDeleteI am amazed at how much easier this has made my life. I'm sure the guys at Tems are missing me since I used to shop there everyday! We didn't have fajitas last night cause Dave came home sick and only wanted cereal. I had to move my menu around . . we had fajitas tonight. I'm not doing as well this week on WW . . . I'm went into my weekly points today and I'm drinking too much diet coke! Tomorrow I'm going back to just water!
